Course Description:  U.S. History

National identity is the foundation of a strong nation. The values and expectations long established and celebrated in our history provide the foundations of our present and the framework of our future. Without these shared values our nation may fail. United States will examine America’s finest moments and our darkest hours. We will celebrate our most courageous and expose our darkest individuals, while studying pivotal events in our history. From Reconstruction to the World Wars to our most recent history, we will examine what it has meant to be “American.”
