Course Description: Certified Nursing Assistant  (CNA)

 

Are looking for an entry level job in the health care field that will put you one leg up on the competition into health science programs in college?  Take this 2 trimester class and it will prepare you for the CNA test.  This is a great entry level job and one that allows for working at non-traditional times (evenings, nights, weekends, after school).  Many health science college programs want to see that you have experience in the health field.  This gives you that opportunity.  This certification is needed for working at nursing home, assisted living, hospital, doctor office, etc.

This course satisfies a 2.0 Elective Credit (CTE)

 

Sequence of Courses/Pre-Requisites

Students need to be 10th, 11th or 12th grade or have instructor approval – Medical Terminology course completion would be helpful but not required
