Course Description: CREATIVE WRITING

 

Tired of writing teacher-assigned essays?  Ready to branch out and explore your creativity in Language Arts?  If so, Creative Writing is the course for you.  Creative Writing is a .5 LA credit option that runs for one trimester.  Creative Writing has 4 major units and gives students LOTS of choice in their writing projects.

 

Unit One: Fiction/Non-Fiction Submission #1

Unit Two: Lyrical Poetry Unit Submission #2

Unit Three: Writer’s Choice Submission #3

Unit Four: Writer’s Choice Submission #4 (must be a modification, addition or extension of Unit 1 or 3).

 

Graduation Requirements Satisfied with this Course:

This course satisfies a .5 LA Elective Credit

 

Sequence of Courses/Pre-Requisites

Students need to be out of the “trunk” or core LA classes for LA I and LA II.
