Course Description: DIRECTED STUDIES (LEAP)

 

Have you always wanted to play with robots, make and shoot off rockets, write and direct a screenplay, learn about chemical engineering, or create your own PE credit through the History of Dance?  Are you a self-starter who doesn’t always love the traditional classroom setting?  Try Directed Studies where Learning through Authentic Pathways is our game. You get to choose the area of study that interests YOU and create the curriculum YOU want to learn about.  Your final will be an exhibition in front of a panel of teachers, administrators and students and you get to show your learning through a fun and creative way. Throw out essays, pitch the PowerPoints, and dump the research papers.  Go nuts!  Direct your studies!!!
