Course Description: High School Band

 

From Beethoven to Bruno Mars, we cover it all!  Maybe you listen to a lot of music but do you feel like you are missing out on the opportunity to make music?  Here is your opportunity to be a part of a class/team/experience like no other.  Field trips, Festivals, and just plain Fun will be had in this class.

 

1st Trimester: Husky Band Day, Football Pep Band, Fall Collaborative Concert

2nd Trimester: Basketball Pep Band, Solo & Ensemble Competition, Festival Concert

3rd Trimester: Marching Band, Graduation, Spring Concert

 

Mr. Brown is focused on helping each student to reach their fullest musical potential as well as help you foster a lifelong love of listening to, performing, and creating music.  Be a part of the magic!

 

Graduation Requirements Satisfied with this Course:

Each trimester of this course will satisfy .5 credits your fine arts or elective graduation requirements.

You may choose to earn a .5 P.E. credit in 3rd trimester for marching band.  Please clear this option through Mrs. Libbey.

 

Sequence of Courses/Pre-Requisites:

While it is preferable that you have had 6th, 7th, and 8th grade band, the biggest pre-requisite is that you have the desire to learn music to the best of your abilities.
