Course Description: Jazz Band

 

High powered music for high powered music students!  Are you looking to build upon your already outstanding musical talent?  Here is your opportunity to make fun and exciting music with other students. We will explore musical styles of swing, jazz, latin, popular, funk, and rock music throughout the year.  A field trip to Lionel Hampton Jazz Festival in Idaho, community performances, and just plain fun will be had in this class.

 

This Class meets Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 7:40-8:15am each week.

 

Mr. Brown is focused on helping each student to reach their fullest musical potential as well as help you foster a lifelong love of listening to, performing, and creating music.  Be a part of the magic!

 

Graduation Requirements Satisfied with this Course:

Each trimester of this course will satisfy .5 credits your fine arts or elective graduation requirements.

 

 

Sequence of Courses/Pre-Requisites:

You need to be in one of the other music performing groups unless you play guitar, bass guitar, or piano.  Ability to read music is a must.  Please meet with Mr. Brown if you are interested.
